    If you can brave the colder air and water temperatures and navigate and wade your way around rivers in darkness, fall walleye fishing can be a tremendous amount of fun. Many anglers turn to the autumn season for deer hunting and sitting on the couch for weekend football. But for those of us who are aware of the madness that occurs on our local river systems after dark, the fall season is simply the best time of the year for catching big river walleyes. (more…)

    Ever since I knew how to handle a rod and reel I have frequently fished rivers throughout the Upper Midwest in search for anything that swims and is deemed as catchable. Growing up, flowing waters have served as my playground for learning about their diverse populations of fish species, and figuring out the methods and techniques in how to best catch them. In fact, most rivers today still serve as my training grounds in trying to better understand fish that come in all shapes and sizes. Of all bodies of water they are without question some of my favorite places to spend significant amounts of time at, especially during the heat of summer. (more…)

    Who knew what you can do with a plastic frog? I began fishing with frogs in summer of 2008. Ever since then, frog fishing has become a favorite method for catching largemouth bass throughout all of summer.
